The Company & Your Role:
We are a global tire engineering group, dedicated to aftermarket, and OEM parts sales for a variety of applications. Our company is a highly recognized within the industry, with multiple OEM International Supplier Awards.
This position will require extensive travel for the management of the sales team within the specified territory. The ideal candidate is an overachiever who thrives on exceeding expectations and meeting sales goals. You must have strong leadership skills, as well as written and oral communication abilities for building interpersonal relationships on multiple levels.
Our sales manager is directly responsible for creating new business development plans. You should have powerful prospecting, sales, and closing skills. Your experience in this area will allow you to easily create group sales and one-on-one meetings that are effective in their outcome. You are responsible for creating viable solutions to problems, as well as providing feedback to the necessary department(s) regarding needs, opportunities, possible future problems, and operational needs of your department.
You should have excellent computer application skills, including Microsoft Office, specifically Powerpoint and Excel, so that you can effectively organize and track forecasts, reports, customer information, and similar data. Our perfect candidate is self-motivated, can be relied on to work in a team or as an individual, and able to meet deadlines under pressure. This position will require you to achieve targets while staying within budget.
The candidate we are looking for keeps their technical and professional knowledge of the industry up to date and is not afraid to be hands-on. After training which will include inside sales and warehouse duties in order to get to learn the business, they will be able to transition into an outside sales role establishing professional contacts, and participating in professional groups and social functions. This candidate looks forward to engaging in trade shows, workshops, and seminars. By monitoring current trends, competitors, pricing, new products and changing technology, our candidate will elevate the company position and increase penetration in a new market.

You must live in the state of New York. Territory is located in the Long Island area. This position requires extensive travel within the designated territory. You should be able to multi-task from various offices and/or from a vehicle.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, sales or related field(s)
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience selling premium brands
Tire sales and service experience
